How do you put together a team of web development experts to complete a tech project like a web site or mobile app?
Web development involves a range of services from coding and graphic design to content writing and SEO (Search Engine Optimization). John has a global perspective on business, an important thing to consider when building a team of people to manage any aspect of online business affairs.
Tech development with John Shipp follows a predictable path. The process begins with a short 15 minute interview and consultation session. This initial interview is scheduled to determine whether the client and John are a good fit. During this interview, the client presents his or her ideas, desires, timeline, budget and other aspects of the project with John.
John consults with various other industry experts if needed and develops an estimate for the project. This estimate uses an algorithm that incorporates optimistic, realistic, and pessimistic financial projections into the final number (he calls this the "ORP").
The estimate is delivered to the client and if the client accepts the bid, a consultation session is scheduled to elaborate on the scope of the project, develop landmark goals, and a timeline for completion.
As soon as the bid is accepted and the project has been mapped out completely, a team is assembled if needed to begin working on the project, or John may work directly on the project doing code, or he may hand off certain aspects of the project to a team member to accomplish different project goals related to budget, timelines, or to enhance the technological sophistication of a particular web site or app.
